Francesco Serao was born in Frignano in 1942 and is a certified public accountant since 1970, with an office in Naples and in Rome. Degree in Economy taken at the University of Naples Federico II, with a specialization in development economy, Serao is also an auditor and a free lance journalist. Author of numerous publications, cooperates with important economic reviews, among those the known review “Il Fisco”.

Among it’s publications are to be noted “Il Dottore Commercialista”, for editor Ipsoa and “Il collegio sindacale nelle società quotate”, edited by Il Sole 24 Ore. Beside being from 1988 President of the Italian Certified Public Accountant Association, Serao is also the National Vice President of all professions (CUP) and member of Insol Europe Board, and from 1997 to ’99 has been the President of the Comitte for Latin- Europe-America integration for accounting professions (C.I.L.E.A.). Recently has been also President of FMC, the international Federation of Mediterranean certified accountants.

In the past Serao has covered other important tasks: from ’92 to ’97, for instance, has been a member of the International Federation of Accountants Board in New York and from ’99 Deputy President of the CPA Mediterranean Federation (F.C.M.). In the ’80 became an honorary representative of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy and in 1983 has been a component of the regional tax commission for Campania.

Beside being appointed as the President of the Auditors for the National Journalist Organization, and of the National Chemists organization, he has been also appointed as a Component of the board of Directors for Italian Tobacco Corporation Spa, President of the Constructions commission for the city of Naples, component of the Board of Directors for the University of Naples Federico II, and moreover appointed as an expert in the evaluation Unit for the Law 44/86 and President of the Auditors for the City of Naples and the Province of Caserta . Already a consultant for the Ministry of Finance; of the Mercantile Marina and for the Ministry for the Extraordinary Intervention for South Italy, Serao is also keen on soccer game: it’s no coincidence that he has been Vice President of the Neapolitan soccer team.
